Cohort 9 doctoral candidate Setareh Tabrizi currently teaches English writing courses at American River College in the Sacramento area. Her work is focused on helping students at various levels to grow as writers.
“I am always looking for ways to promote student success and enhance policies to best help students succeed in college and beyond,” says Tabrizi, who frequently presents research related to education, composition and rhetoric, writing centers and writing across the curriculum.
She is currently working on a research paper titled “Undergraduates Lack Workforce Readiness” that she will present at the Northern Rocky Mountain Educational Association (NRMERA) conference in October 2016.
“I am looking forward to sharing my findings and expanding my knowledge from others’ research,” she says. “Learning is a lifelong process. We can always improve ourselves by continuously expanding our minds.”
