We are proud to announce that doctoral candidate Malika Murray, from Cohort 8 of the Doctorate in Educational Leadership program, has been named the 2016 Trustee Emeritus Murray L. Galinson Scholar by the CSU Foundation. Incidentally, it was during Dr. Galinson’s term on the CSU Board of Trustees (2000-2007) that the California State University system gained the right to grant Ed.D. degrees.
The awards are given each year to only one student from each CSU campus who “demonstrates superior academic performance, personal accomplishments, community service and financial need.”
“We are so proud of Malika!” says Ed.D. Director Dr. Julian Vasquez Heilig, who noted her accomplishment on his blog, Cloaking Inequity.
