Ed.D Alumni, Dr. Samer Batarseh, just wrapped a stint working with NASA at their Armstrong Flight Research Center at Edwards Air Force Base. Receiving three degrees from CSU, Sacramento (Electrical Engineering, MBA, and Ed.D), Dr. Batarseh recently shared with us that without the Ed.D program, he wouldn’t have made it to NASA. His dissertation and subsequent research study caught NASA’s attention while presenting at a Community College near Edwards Air Force Base. Graduating from the Ed.D program has completely changed the lens through which Dr. Batarseh views the world. He is especially grateful for the guidance provided by Ed.D Faculty, Dr. Su Jin Jez who encouraged him to align his research interests with his background in engineering and focus on STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics). Dr. Batarseh commented that his Ed.D has enabled him and his family to take a “giant leap”.
